GenPower was founded on the idea and passion to create renewable power solutions based on solar technology. Our mission is to effectively utilize solar technology and engineering to develop, install, and improve the application of solar energy to generate electrical power for individuals, businesses, and communities. GenPower designs, builds and installs efficient, environmentally safe, engineered solar power solutions to meet or exceed consumer requirements.
Founded by Lavelle Davis, CEO, he later partnered with Mark Nichols, founder of Marco Electrical Contracting. These two companies were strategically combined in efforts to bring renewable energy into not only the commercial but residential sector.
Throughout Davis’ career in high-level electrical distribution, he has interfaced with power distribution and generation. There always seemed to be a better answer to both distribution and generation in many instances. When Hurricane Andrew hit Homestead in Miami, FL, Davis was dispatched there with an Industrial Electrical firm that was contracted to handle, at the time, BellSouth Company’s power generation. All of the combustible commercial generators that were supplying power to critical communication hubs were offline and not operating. With no access to fuel, fuel contamination, and physical electrical damage to generators, they were dead in the water and could not be utilized to power the critical power loads of these communication hubs. This was the turning point for Davis to start working on building a fail-safe, renewable source of power for this very instance.
These ideas of new power generation and distribution led Davis down the road of building his first solar powered generator. Hence the creation and inception of GenPower.
GenPower has now evolved into a complete turnkey solution provider engineering power solutions that are self-sustainable, green, and economic for various applications. GenPower continues to educate, design, integrate, and consult for many entities world wide.

I am compelled to take a few minutes to tell you how very pleased I am with the solar installation. Having just finished a new boat dock, I had to have power for lifts and lights. Because of the long run from my house, the quote for running a service from the house seemed very high. I guessed solar could be a more cost effective alternative. As it turned out, your installation was less then the wiring quote and the tax credit next year will be a nice bonus.
Your staff installed a first class system including high quality, industrial grade components, all professionally connected. The power output is more than adequate to operate the lift and assorted power tools.
